Republic Bank & Trust was established on June 30, 1988. With an original location at 3510 West Robinson, RBT acquired Red River Savings and Loan at 1200 East Lindsey in March 1992. We opened our third location at 401 West Main in May 1992, adding a fourth location in Noble, Oklahoma, at 805 N. Main Street in 2006 and another most recently in South Oklahoma City at 118th and South Western in 2008.
Republic Bank is the last true community bank in the City of Norman. We are the only bank originally chartered in Norman, thus being the only one not owned by an out-of-town bank. Because we are a community bank, the health and welfare of Norman, and all the communities we serve, is vital to our continued success. We work hard to support community activities and programs that enrich the quality of life in our schools and neighborhoods and foster growth, development, employment opportunities, and social and cultural enhancement in our schools and neighborhoods. We carry this same philosophy into Noble, South Oklahoma City, and Moore.
Republic Bank is strongly committed to make our community a better place to live. We feel a part of our responsibility is to focus on the quality of life as well as on the quantity of business. We have been honored to serve by giving time, attention, and money in support of education, charities, and service organizations.
As Republic Bankers, we have a profound responsibility to each other, our communities (including past, present, and potential customers), and our shareholders. The win-win relationship between these three is at the core of who we are as an organization. If one of the three is losing, all three will lose. Republic Bank & Trust is a vital place where our customers and community are delighted by our presence, our Bankers are valued and respected, and our shareholders treasure their investment.
Republic Bank & Trust exists to create vibrant communities in which we would want to live ourselves. We pledge to help all customers and all our bankers be financially secure, constantly delighted, and committed to the community, and we will generate strong capital to support these efforts.
In order to survive and prosper in today’s competitive business environment, it is critical for local business owners to have a trusted financial advisor. These owners are seeking an advisor that:
- understands the local business environment;
- supports the growth and health of the community; and
- is committed to the success of their business.
As a local business bank, Republic understands that our success is dependent on the success of the businesses and community we serve. Republic Bankers develop consultative and trusted relationships with locally owned and managed businesses, and individuals, in order to help them succeed, as well as build a vibrant community.
This is accomplished by:
- In-depth understanding of the unique needs of each local business and the ability to adapt or create products and services to meet those needs.
- Bankers available and empowered to make decisions quickly giving businesses the agility to compete.
- Providing flexible, time-efficient, and convenient financial services in person, at home, at work, or wherever our customers happen to be.
- Connecting the businesses we serve to other local businesses, influencers, events, and opportunities.
- Supporting the community through local reinvestment of deposits as well as giving our time, service, and donations.
- By selecting Republic Bank & Trust as a trusted financial advisor, local businesses gain the competitive advantages of speed, expertise, and networking to drive the success of their business. As a result, together we’ll build a vibrant community in which we would want to live.
Republic is honored to be recognized for these awards by our customers and community. We are privileged to work in an environment that recognizes our efforts. It means we are doing our job and taking care of our customers and community at the highest level.
Pioneer Library System Board of Trustees
Republic Bank & Trust was recognized by Pioneer Library System Board of Trustees for its support of the Moore community through the “Drawn Together” fundraiser. The fundraiser generated over $70,000 to benefit the recovery of the library collections at Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary, the two local schools destroyed in the May 20th tornado.
